Who is behind meine-waermepumpe.at

meine-waermepumpe.at is operated by Westech Solar e.U. in Traiskirchen (Lower Austria), the owner is Alexander Oprisan. Westech Solar is a specialist retailer for heating, heat pumps and solar thermal energy and sells devices to installers and private customers. We say this openly, because you should know who is checking your request for quotes.

Why the mediation is nevertheless neutral

A portal operated by a retailer must adhere to clear rules. Ours are these, and they are verifiable:

  • Requests for quotes are based on region and project, not on brand. Which heat pump an installer offers you is decided by the company.
  • No partner installer is obliged to install a specific brand or buy from Westech. There is no such obligation in the partner conditions.
  • Westech Solar does not install heat pumps itself and does not take on any requests for quotes from the portal.
  • Manufacturers cannot buy an advantage. A manufacturer can pay for requests for quotes on behalf of an installer, but this gives them neither insight into the requests nor influence over who receives them (partner conditions § 7).
  • The guide includes all brands represented in Austria, weighted according to their market importance and without favouritism.

The portal itself does not sell anything and does not carry out installations. It is free of charge for you, and is financed by the installers who take on the requests for quotes. You can find out exactly how this works under How it works.
