Lower Austria has no direct grant exclusively for heat pumps — but for comprehensive renovations there is an Annuitätenzuschuss (annuity subsidy) of 4 % over 10 years. The federal grant (Kesseltausch, max. 7.500 €) is exhausted for 2026 — new funds in 2027.
Climatically very diverse: Weinviertel and Wiener Becken are mild, Alpenvorland is cooler, Waldviertel has long cold winters. For a correct sizing, it is worth using the heat pump calculator with your exact region.
Federal government: The federal funds for the Sanierungsoffensive 2026 (renovation offensive, including Kesseltausch and „Sauber Heizen für Alle") are exhausted. Since 10.07.2026, no new registrations or applications are possible; applications already submitted will continue to be processed. What this means
