Vienna provides a grant for heating replacement with 35 % of the recognised costs, max. 8.000 € (detached house) or 5.250 € (apartment) — from its own budget, independent of the federal stop. This currently makes Vienna one of the strongest grant-providing federal states. However, Vienna sets its own technical conditions for this: The heat pump must be listed in the GET product database and the design flow temperature must not exceed 40 °C — above that only with proof of efficiency. In addition, there are income limits.

Invoices must be no more than 6 months old when the application is submitted — the public grant can therefore also be applied for after implementation. There is no legal entitlement; payment is made subject to available budget funds.
